Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ScamUSA.org (“the Website”) or submitting a scam report through our platform (“the Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Website or Services.
2. Purpose of ScamUSA.org
ScamUSA.org is a nonprofit consumer-protection organization dedicated to protecting the public by helping identify scams and fraudulent activities while promoting transparency, accountability, and education.
Our platform provides:
• A structured, factual reporting system for victims, consumers, businesses, and platforms, creating a fair, unbiased, and balanced opportunity for both sides to share information.
• A process for businesses and platforms to respond to reports in a way that promotes transparency, problem-solving, and improved trust.
• A system where ScamUSA.org may publish reports at our sole discretion, including:
– Verified scam warnings
– Redacted consumer submissions
– Neutral fact-based summaries
– Positive outcomes, such as when a business resolves an issue, provides a remedy, or demonstrates good-faith corrective action
• Public educational resources to help individuals recognize and avoid scams
• A public database of scam-related information intended to improve community safety
All published information is for public awareness and educational purposes only. ScamUSA.org does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Accuracy of Information
Users agree to submit only accurate, factual information when filing reports or communicating with ScamUSA.org. Knowingly false, defamatory, or misleading submissions are strictly prohibited.
3.2 No Submission of Personal or Sensitive Information
Users must avoid including personal identifiers such as Social Security numbers, bank information, passwords, or other sensitive data. ScamUSA.org may attempt to redact such information, but users remain responsible.
3.3 Proper Conduct
Users must not:
• Harass, threaten, or defame any person or business
• Promote fraud or misinformation
• Interfere with Website operation
• Use site information to target or harass others
4. Redaction & Publication Guidelines
4.1 Redaction Efforts
ScamUSA.org makes reasonable efforts to redact personal or sensitive information but cannot guarantee complete removal.
4.2 Public Sharing
By submitting a report, users acknowledge that ScamUSA.org may:
• Publish redacted summaries
• Share factual information publicly
• Provide relevant information to involved parties or authorities
5. No Guarantee of Investigation or Outcome
ScamUSA.org reviews reports at its discretion. We do not guarantee that reports will be investigated, published, acted upon, or forwarded to authorities. ScamUSA.org is not a law enforcement agency.
6. Nonprofit Status & Limitation of Liability
6.1 Nonprofit Structure
ScamUSA.org Corp is a Delaware nonprofit.
6.2 Liability for User Submissions
ScamUSA.org is not liable for:
• Accuracy of user submissions
• Damages arising from published content
• Redaction errors or omissions
6.3 External Links
We are not responsible for third-party websites.
6.4 As-Is Services
Services are provided “as-is” without warranties.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ownership
All site content is owned by ScamUSA.org.
7.2 Limited User License
Users may share content for educational/personal use but not commercially without permission.
8. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not submit false information, impersonate others, upload harmful software, bypass security, or scrape data.
9. Privacy
Use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines data handling and redaction practices.
10. Right to Remove or Decline Content
ScamUSA.org reserves the right to decline reports, remove content, redact information, restrict access, or terminate misuse.

Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use signifies acceptance of updates.

13. Donation & Solicitation Policy
ScamUSA.org will never directly solicit donations through personal outreach (email, text, phone, or messages).
If you choose to donate, contributions must be made only through official donation channels listed on ScamUSA.org. ScamUSA.org may reference these channels but will not directly request donations.
Participation in reporting or investigations will never result in fundraising contact. Any direct request for money claiming to be from ScamUSA.org should be considered fraudulent.
14. Restrictions on Use of ScamUSA.org Reports, Articles, and Published Content
All reports, summaries, articles, educational materials, and scam-related content published by ScamUSA.org (“ScamUSA Content”) are the exclusive property of ScamUSA.org and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. ScamUSA Content is provided solely for public awareness, education, and personal sharing.
Users may share ScamUSA Content only on a personal, non-commercial basis, including forwarding a report to friends, family, or posting on personal social-media accounts for awareness and safety purposes.
Strictly prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
• Republishing, copying, or distributing ScamUSA Content for commercial gain
• Using ScamUSA Content to create or support any business, service, database, website, organization, nonprofit program, or platform
• Reposting or aggregating ScamUSA Content on any website, app, or service designed to generate revenue or organizational benefit
• Creating derivative works, analytics, or databases using ScamUSA Content
• Using ScamUSA Content in any product, training program, or subscription service
No individual, business, nonprofit, or organization may use ScamUSA Content for commercial, operational, or organizational purposes without prior written authorization from ScamUSA.org.
